Kaveo documentation
Kaveo is a media player with a built-in library: it plays your local files and can connect to servers like Jellyfin, but it also works as a plain, fast player — open a file and it plays. This guide is organised by what you are trying to do.
- Getting started — your first minutes with Kaveo.
- Your library — browse, organise and correct the titles Kaveo finds, and look at your own photos and videos.
- Watching — the player, next episode, skipping, screenshots and HDR output.
- Subtitles — load, sync, edit and translate them.
- Sources — where your titles come from.
- Organizing files — naming, imports, and several copies of a title.
- Private titles — keep titles and photos encrypted and out of the library until you unlock them.
- From your file manager — play or file a video, or open a photo, with a right-click.
- Command line — start Kaveo on a file, a photo or a folder from a terminal.
- Keyboard shortcuts — every key and mouse button the player answers to.
- Settings — a reference page for each section of the settings screen.
- Troubleshooting — the messages Kaveo shows, and what to send when you report a problem.
- Credits — the people and projects whose work appears in these pages.
