Media keys and the desktop
What it is for
Section titled “What it is for”While a title plays, your desktop knows it: the keyboard’s media keys play, pause and skip, and the desktop’s media controls — the media widget, the lock screen, a phone paired with the computer — show its name and picture.
How to use it
Section titled “How to use it”- Start a film, an episode or a track.
- Press the keyboard’s play/pause key, or its next and previous keys, even with Kaveo’s window in the background.
- Or use the desktop’s media widget: it shows the title, its poster and where you are, and you can drag its bar to move through the title.
- To keep the title off the desktop, turn off System media controls in Settings › Interface.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Next and previous follow the same list as the player’s own buttons; see Next episode and queue.
- Stop ends the title. The widget’s shuffle and repeat buttons are Kaveo’s own, wherever the playback bar shows them.
